The Guwahati Municipal Corporation plans to invest Rs 2 crore in 12 projects

The Guwahati Municipal Corporation, or GMC, decided to spend an estimated Rs 2.02 crore on 12 projects in Guwahati. The project will be finished in three months by the civic body. The civic body has begun the tendering process, which will be finished by January 2024. The construction companies have three months to finish the projects after they are awarded work orders.

Twelve projects, as stated by a GMC representative, are (i) the construction of the road and a drain near Mahila Samiti Temple Ghat with an estimated cost of Rs 18 lakh; (ii) the improvement of Milan Path Tula Factory, Fatasil Ambari, with a cost of Rs 14 lakh; (iii) the construction of a triangular colony at Pandu costing Rs 18.70 lakh, (iv) Ramkrishna Mission Road and drain at Ward No. 4 with a cost of Rs 18 lakh, (v) Templeghat Tinipukhuri Bylane with drain at Ward No. 4 with a cost of Rs 12 lakh, (vi) construction of Hilltop Colony Road and drain with cross culverts at a cost of Rs 19 lakh, (vii) construction of Jaymati Nagar Main Drain with bylane 1 and 2 drains at Ward No. 2 at a cost of Rs 18.50 lakh, (viii) improvement of drain and road near Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Bhawan at Adabari Colony in Ward No. 2 with a cost of Rs 18.50 lakh, (ix) construction of BBC Sankar Nagar drain with byelane at Pandu in ward no. 2 at a cost of Rs 19 lakh, (x) construction of Loco Colony Kalimandir Battala Road in Ward No. 2 at a cost of Rs 13.50 lakh, (xi) construction of main drain with CC road at Garh Pandu Hospital in Ward No. 2 at a cost of Rs 16 lakh, and (xii) improvement of the road and drain at Shyapaprasad Road at a cost of Rs 12 lakh.
