Three-Day Bamboo Farming Training Held in Boko

CIFOR-ICRAF, in collaboration with the Assam State Bamboo Mission, organized a three-day farmers’ training programme on enhancing bamboo farming and production in Assam from January 5 to 7 at Boko. The programme focused on scientific cultivation, value addition, market and financial linkages, and enterprise development under the Bamboo Outside Forest initiative.

Local farmers, FPO members and women groups participated in the training, which included expert sessions and hands-on learning. Speakers highlighted the region’s strong bamboo potential and encouraged farmers to tap growing market opportunities to improve livelihoods.
