Three Suspected Poachers Arrested in Kaziranga Anti-Poaching Operation

Security personnel of Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve arrested three suspected poachers during an anti-poaching operation and recovered arms and ammunition. The accused, identified as Kiran Pegu, Riju Pegu, and Pulen Kaman, were apprehended in connection with wildlife-related offences.

Officials said the trio was allegedly planning rhino poaching activities inside the park. A country-made rifle and related parts were also seized during the operation. Forest authorities stated that strict anti-poaching measures have significantly reduced poaching incidents in Kaziranga in recent years.
