Himanta Biswa Sarma Hints at 18-19 Member Assam Cabinet Ahead of Swearing-In

Ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of the BJP-led NDA government in Assam, caretaker Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the new cabinet is likely to have 18 to 19 ministers. He stated that final discussions on cabinet berths will take place after BJP national president Nitin Nabin arrives in Guwahati.

Sarma said selected MLAs would be informed about their induction on Tuesday morning. The swearing-in ceremony will be held on Tuesday in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union ministers, Chief Ministers of several states, diplomats and religious leaders.
