Tigress Reunites with Abandoned Cub in Kaziranga’s First Documented Case

In a first-ever documented case in the Northeast, a tigress in Kaziranga National Park successfully reunited with her cub after over 24 hours. The cub was found alone on April 30 in the 10th Addition area near human habitation. Forest officials, Wildlife Trust of India (WTI), and local villagers coordinated to leave the area undisturbed. On May 1, camera traps captured the tigress retrieving the cub, confirming the reunion. Experts called it a rare conservation success.
