Tiwa Language Introduced in Assam’s Primary Schools

The Tiwa language was officially introduced as a medium of instruction in 62 primary schools across Tiwa-dominated areas of Assam. Education Minister Dr. Ranuj Pegu inaugurated the programme at Daboraghat Primary School in Morigaon and released Tiwa textbooks. The government plans to expand the initiative to more schools soon. Ministers Pijush Hazarika and other officials attended the event.
