Torrential Rains Cause Severe Flooding and Disruption in Jorhat

Torrential rains have resulted in significant flooding across various areas of Jorhat, submerging neighborhoods such as Attilagaon, New Colony, Sonari village, Kushal Nagar, Choladhara, and Tarajan. The flooding has severely disrupted daily life, with many roads to schools, colleges, offices, and homes underwater, forcing residents to remain indoors and causing difficulties for daily commuters. The Jorhat municipality, along with the local MLA and administrative bodies, is facing criticism for failing to address the recurring issue of artificial floods in the region. Residents are now demanding a solution to this persistent problem.
