Tragedy Strikes Kokrajhar as Speeding Motorcycle Claims Life of Five-Year-Old Boy

In a heartbreaking incident in Kokrajhar, Assam, a minor boy lost his life on Friday morning after being struck by a speeding motorcycle, casting a pall of grief over the region.

The unfortunate event occurred around 11 am, with the victim, a five-year-old student of 387 Haijraiguri Primary School, having participated in the 75th Republic Day celebrations at his school earlier that day. After the festivities, he accompanied his uncle to Balajan Tiniali market. On their way back, a speeding motorcycle bearing registration number AS 28 D 3627 collided with the child near Lauripara Chowk.

The impact resulted in severe head injuries, and despite immediate transportation to a nearby hospital, the doctors declared the child dead.

Local authorities, following the registration of a complaint, launched an investigation and impounded the vehicle involved in the tragic accident.

In remembrance of the young victim, his school held a condolence ceremony. The school principal expressed deep regret over the sudden and shocking incident, extending condolences to the grieving family.
