Transport Department Urges Compliance During Ambubachi Mela 2024

Gautam Das, Special Duty Officer of the Transport Department and District Transport Officer of Kamrup Metropolitan District, has urged citizens to adhere to all rules and regulations during the Ambubachi Mela 2024, held from June 22 to June 26 in Guwahati. Emphasizing safety, Das highlighted the expected influx of visitors, including children, women, and seniors, to the Nilachal Hills. He called for adherence to road safety guidelines, the use of helmets for two-wheeler riders, and seat belts for four-wheeler drivers. Das also advised against illegal activities such as drunken driving and encouraged maintaining purity and restraint during the festival.
