Tripura Records Lowest Crime Rate in 20 Years: CM Manik Saha

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha said the state recorded its lowest crime rate in two decades, with overall cases dropping by 8.30% in 2025. Total crimes declined from 4,033 in 2024 to 3,698 in 2025, reflecting improved law and order.

Crimes against women fell by 8.14%, while cases under the NDPS Act rose by 11.60% due to stricter action against drug trafficking. The state also intensified checks on illegal infiltration, apprehending 576 infiltrators last year.

The Chief Minister said efforts are being strengthened to tackle cybercrime, in line with the Centre’s roadmap.
