Two Arrested in Guwahati for Alleged Rape of Minor Cousin

Two individuals, Gaurav Barman and Jitul Thakuria, were arrested by Noonmati Police in Guwahati for the alleged sexual assault of a 17-year-old minor in the Birkuchi, Narengi area.

The accused, who are reportedly cousins of the victim, allegedly lured her with temptations. The victim eventually informed her parents about the long-term physical relationship and mental harassment, prompting her family to file an FIR. The police have registered a case under the POCSO Act and are currently investigating.
