Two More Arrested in Foiled ONGC Kidnapping Plot

Sivasagar Police arrested two more suspects in the failed ONGC kidnapping case. Safikul Rahman, a night bus driver, and Trinayan Gogoi, a petty businessman, were apprehended in Guwahati and Jorhat. Safikul helped transport ULFA-I militants and procure SIM cards for the plan, while Trinayan assisted in other tasks. Earlier, police had arrested two prime suspects, Irshad Latif and Rahul Hazarika, a surrendered ULFA-I cadre, following a shootout. The mastermind, Tahirul Hussain, an ONGC engineer, remains at large.
