Two ULFA-I Cadres Surrender in Arunachal, Weapons Recovered

Two ULFA-I cadres surrendered before security forces in Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday.
The cadres—Bhargab Hazarika and Astitva Axom—were handed over to Tinsukia Police for questioning. Hazarika also helped recover arms from a hideout, including an MQ 81 rifle, ammunition and a grenade.
Officials called the surrender a major step in reducing insurgent activities, following a recent high-profile surrender within the group.
