UCO Bank Employee Arrested for Embezzling ₹34 Lakh in Dhubri

Dhubri police arrested Shivshankar Prasad Bin, a UCO Bank employee, for embezzling ₹34 lakh from the South Salmara branch. He was nabbed in Bihar’s Vaishali district on April 6 and brought to Dhubri. ₹10 lakh was recovered from him. The fraud surfaced after customer complaints and an internal audit. Bin allegedly used the stolen funds for online betting. Police are probing further to recover the remaining amount and assess internal lapses.
