ULFA-I Cadre Surrenders to Police in Arunachal Pradesh

In a significant development, Dhananjay Sonowal (20), alias Bokul Asom, a cadre of the United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I), surrendered to the police in Jairampur, Arunachal Pradesh. Sonowal fled from the Arakan camp in Myanmar before surrendering. The Jairampur police have transferred him to the Margherita police for further proceedings. Sonowal hails from Borboruah in Assam’s Dibrugarh district.
