ULFA-I Militant Killed in Encounter in Arunachal’s Namsai District

A suspected ULFA-I militant was killed in a joint Army–Assam Rifles operation in Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh, early Wednesday. The operation followed intelligence on militant movement along the Assam–Arunachal border. Weapons and ammunition were recovered at the site. The slain rebel was part of a seven-member team involved in a recent Kakopather Army base attack. Security forces continue to track remaining militants in the area.
