Union Minister Inaugurates Panchakarma Center and Renovated State Pharmacy at Ayurvedic College
Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal, inaugurated the Centre of Excellence on Panchakarma and unveiled the renovated State Pharmacy at the State Ayurvedic College & Hospital. During the event, Minister Sonowal emphasized the college’s role in contributing to the global Ayush wellness movement, praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership in revitalizing traditional medicine. He highlighted the positive impact of Panchakarma on stress reduction and its potential benefits for patients.
The ceremony was attended by various dignitaries, including Health & Family Welfare Minister Keshab Mahanta and local MLAs. Minister Sonowal expressed confidence in the college’s pivotal role in expanding Ayurvedic education and healthcare in the region, citing the significant growth of the Ayush sector under Prime Minister Modi’s visionary leadership. He noted the remarkable increase in the market value of Ayush products globally and highlighted the establishment of new Ayurvedic colleges, hospitals, and wellness centers in Assam as part of capacity-building initiatives.
