UPPL Releases First List of 18 Candidates for BTR Election 2025

The United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) has announced its first list of 18 candidates for the 2025 Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) General Election. Approved by party president and BTR CEM Pramod Boro, the list includes both sitting leaders and new faces. Key nominees are Raju Kumar Narzary (Sorabil), Afjal Hoque Sarkar (Fakiragram), Rabiram Brahma (Banargaon), Ranjit Basumatary (Baokhungri), Lawrence Islary (Salakati), Chandan Brahma (Kajalgaon), and Dr. Nilut Swargiary (Rowta). The party aims to strengthen its presence and counter opposition in the upcoming polls.
