Vigilance Operation Nets Lat Mandal in Assam for Bribery in Land Records Correction

In Bongaigaon district of Assam, Vigilance sleuths arrested Lat Mandal Gendu Mohan Nath on Tuesday under bribery charges. Nath, posted at the Circle Officer’s office in Baitamari Revenue Circle, was caught red-handed accepting a bribe for the correction of land records. The operation follows a recent case on March 10, where an ASI in Cachar, Assam, was apprehended for accepting a bribe in connection with a stolen motorcycle.
