Wild Elephant Found Dead in Assam’s Gossaigaon, Possible Flood-Related Death

A wild elephant was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Ballamjhora village, Assam, on Friday. Locals suspect the tusker may have been swept away by rising floodwaters. The animal was trapped on an embankment, and forest officials recovered the carcass for post-mortem. In a separate incident, another elephant was found dead at Shilphata No. 1, likely due to an injury from infighting within its herd.
