Wild Elephant Triggers Panic in Guwahati’s Boragaon Area

Panic gripped Boragaon in Guwahati on Monday night after a wild elephant entered the locality and broke into the Swahid Smarak Kshetra. The animal, believed to have come from the Garbhanga forest via Deepor Beel, created fear among residents.

Police and Forest Department teams later managed to drive the elephant back to the forest. Officials noted that such incidents have been increasing in fringe areas of the city.
