Woman Delivers Baby at Guwahati Railway Station

A woman traveling on the Rani Kamlapati Express gave birth on Platform No. 4 at Guwahati Railway Station. She went into labor during the journey from Agartala to Barauni, prompting her family to alert train staff. Northeast Frontier Railway officials arranged for her to de-board at Guwahati, where doctors and RPF personnel assisted with the delivery. Both mother and baby were safely transferred to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital for further care. The railway team’s swift action ensured a successful outcome.
