Woman Fatally Stabbed in Guwahati; Accused Arrested

In a tragic incident, Mousumi Gogoi, a Dibrugarh native working for an NGO in Guwahati, was fatally stabbed in broad daylight near Last Gate. The attacker, identified as Bhupen Das, reportedly assaulted her with a knife, causing severe injuries.

Witnesses stated that the attack occurred while Gogoi was waiting for a Rapido ride. The accused arrived in a Swift Dzire car and attacked her, reportedly over unreciprocated romantic advances.

The Special Operation Group swiftly apprehended Das, who had inflicted self-injuries and is now hospitalized. Police have launched an investigation into the case.
