Woman Found Dead Under Suspicious Circumstances in Guwahati Apartment

25-year-old Payel Saikia was found dead in her rental apartment at Doya Sagar Apartment, Nizarapar, Guwahati.

Her mother alerted the building’s security after failing to contact her. Security personnel broke into her fourth-floor unit, discovering her hanging. Police recovered the body around 1 a.m. and launched an investigation, reviewing her call records for clues.

Officials have not ruled out foul play, stating further clarity will come after the post-mortem report. Payel’s choice to live alone, despite her family residing in the city, has also drawn attention.
