Yellow Alert Issued for 15 Assam Districts

Guwahati: A yellow weather alert has been issued for 15 districts of Assam, with the warning expected to remain in place for the next five days amid forecasts of unsettled weather and rainfall. The affected districts include Dhubri, Kokrajhar, Chirang, Goalpara, Barpeta, Kamrup, Kamrup Metropolitan, Sonitpur, Darrang, Lakhimpur, Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Morigaon, Nagaon and Hailakandi.

Residents in the alerted areas have been advised to remain cautious and monitor weather updates, particularly while travelling. Authorities have urged people to follow advisories issued by the Regional Weather Forecasting Centre, Guwahati, as adverse conditions may affect several parts of the state.
