Young Journalist Found Dead in Guwahati Office Days Before Wedding

Guwahati journalist Ritumoni Roy was found dead inside her workplace, days before her December 5 wedding. CCTV footage suggests suicide, showing her entering the office alone at midnight and leaving a handwritten note that read, “One decision for everyone’s happiness. Stay well without me. Sorry.”

Her family said she had been preparing for her wedding and last spoke to them on November 22 while shopping. Some relatives hinted at possible financial stress. Police have registered a case and are examining her phone, digital records and statements to determine if any external factors were involved.
