10-Year-Old Boy Escapes Kidnapping Attempt in Jorhat District

A 10-year-old boy narrowly escaped an attempted kidnapping late Tuesday night in Seleng Tea Estate, Mariani, Jorhat district. After attending a marriage party with his parents, the boy, son of Ram Singh Bhumi, stepped outside their home to use the toilet and was seized by three unidentified miscreants who arrived in a Maruti Van.

The kidnappers gagged the boy and drove approximately 20 kilometers to an undisclosed location. The child lost consciousness but later regained it while the vehicle was stationary. Taking advantage of this moment, he escaped and returned home.
