17-Year-Old Boy Drowns in Pond Near Diphu Botanical Garden

A 17-year-old boy, Arindam Kumar, drowned while swimming with friends in a pond near Diphu’s botanical garden on Friday. Despite efforts to save him, he sank in the middle of the pond. Locals later recovered his body, which was sent to Diphu Medical College for a post-mortem. A similar incident occurred last year in Dharapur, where a 12-year-old boy, Arif Ali, drowned while bathing with friends.
