20-Year-Old Girl Drowns in Dikhow River Near Gaurisagar

Rekha Baruah (20) from Barichuk village drowned in the Dikhow River near Bhatiapar, Sivasagar, on Monday. She slipped into the river while bathing with her niece, who was rescued by a local youth. Despite being rushed to Sivasagar Civil Hospital, Rekha was declared dead. Her sudden death has left the Bhatiapar Gaurisagar area in mourning.
