4 authors from Assam receive Sahitya Akademi awards

Jintu Gitartha, who is an assistant professor of education in Handique Girls’ Guwahati, has been selected for the Yuva Puraskar for his book ‘Mon Mora Tora’ in Assamese language while Mainaosri Daimary has been selected for her poetry book ‘Som, Jiu, Arw..’ in Bodo language for the award.

On the other hand, Rothindranath Goswami has been selected for the Bal Sahitya Puraskar for his novel ‘Powalmoni aru Chichingar Duhxahoxik Abhijan’ in Assamese language and Pratima Nandi Narzaree for her short stories book ‘Gosaini Gwjwn Nwjwr’ in Bodo language.
