50 Arrested After Communal Tensions in Dhubri; Situation Now Under Control

Following communal unrest in Dhubri over suspected cattle remains near a temple, Assam Police have arrested 50 people. IGP Akhilesh Kumar Singh confirmed the situation is under control with constant patrolling. One person was detained over inflammatory graffiti, with investigations ongoing. CM Himanta Biswa Sarma vowed continued action against anti-social elements. The unrest began on June 8–9, leading to five FIRs on incidents including rioting and misinformation.
