Trader Robbed of Rs 2.5 Lakh in Broad Daylight in Mangaldai

An unidentified miscreant looted Rs 2.5 lakh from Abbas Ali, a grocery trader from Dhula, on LNB Road in Mangaldai town, Assam, on Friday noon. Ali had just withdrawn the cash from a nearby bank and was having tea at a roadside stall when a stranger distracted him by pointing out Rs 10 notes on the ground. As Ali bent to pick up the notes, the miscreant snatched his bag containing the cash and fled. The incident has caused a stir among local residents. Police have started investigating, using CCTV footage from nearby businesses to identify the culprit.
