Minor Girl Allegedly Raped in Nagaon District

A minor girl was allegedly abducted and raped by two bike-borne individuals in Nagaon’s Lathiamari area on Thursday night. Locals rescued the girl after hearing her brother’s cries for help, but the perpetrators escaped. The victim is undergoing treatment at Nagaon Medical College and Hospital. The police have launched a manhunt for the suspects, identified by locals as Fuzail Ahmed and Ishrafil Hussain, and a complaint has been filed with Dhing police. This incident marks the second reported case in the area within a month, raising concerns about women’s safety.
