Cachar Police Seize Drugs Worth Rs. 15.5 Crore, Two Arrested

Cachar Police intercepted a truck in Banskandi, Lakhipur, on Friday night, arresting two individuals—Suraj Chetri, 25, and Mongaljith Rajkumar. During a thorough search, police recovered 18,000 Yaba tablets and 2 kilograms of crystalline methamphetamine hidden in secret compartments of the vehicle. The seized drugs are valued at Rs. 15.5 crore on the black market. The contraband is suspected to have been transported from Imphal.
