PM Modi Inaugurates New Medical Facilities at AIIMS Guwahati

Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated new healthcare facilities at AIIMS Guwahati, focusing on advanced cancer treatment. Key additions include a high-energy linear accelerator, drone services for medical supply delivery, and a state-of-the-art radiotherapy block. Other upgrades include an MRI unit, a DSA Cath Lab, and a night shelter for patients’ families. The inauguration, part of a larger Rs. 12,850 crore project, was attended by Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma. AIIMS Guwahati is already exceeding expectations in patient care since its recent opening.
