NFR Partners with IIT Guwahati to Boost Railway Safety and Sustainability

Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has signed four MoUs with IIT Guwahati to improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability. The collaboration focuses on:

1. High-speed camera systems to detect broken cargo seals.
2. AI-based face recognition for passenger safety.
3. Real-time alerts for alarm chain pulling.
4. Waste management and effluent treatment for cleaner railway premises.

This partnership aims to modernize railway operations and benefit passengers and staff in the Northeast region.
