Four Friends Arrested for Allegedly Killing Man in Guwahati

Akash Choudhury, 29, from Kahilipara, was allegedly killed by four of his friends in Dakhingaon, Guwahati, last night. The accused—Banajit Rajbongshi, Jiyarul Ali, Debabrata Mallik, and Tarun Buragohain—were arrested.

The group was drinking together when an argument escalated. Police say one of the accused pushed Akash into the path of a speeding vehicle, resulting in his death. While the incident was initially considered a road accident, authorities are investigating it as a possible murder, as the accused may have tried to cover it up. Akash, a Rapido bike driver, was declared dead at the hospital.
