Assam Motor Transport Workers to Join All India Strike on July 9

Motor transport workers in Assam will observe a 24-hour strike from 5 am on July 9, backing the All India General Strike called by Central Trade Unions. They are protesting the Centre’s alleged “anti-worker” policies, high traffic fines, the “Hit and Run” clause under BNS, and non-implementation of social security schemes. Normal transport is expected to resume by 5 am on July 10.
