Dibrugarh Police arrested Pratim Bora for allegedly using AI tools to create and spread explicit, morphed images of his former partner on social media. Driven by personal vendetta, Bora used platforms like Midjourney AI and Desire AI to fabricate visuals, falsely linking the victim to the adult industry. The cybercrime unit swiftly traced and apprehended him after the victim’s complaint. A case under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita has been registered. Police warned that sharing or commenting on such defamatory content will attract legal action, urging the public to support the victim.
