Gaurav Gogoi Launches “Raijor Poduli, Raijor Congress” to Reconnect with Assam’s People

Assam Congress president Gaurav Gogoi launched a state-wide campaign, “Raijor Poduli, Raijor Congress,” in Biswanath to reconnect with citizens ahead of the 2026 Assembly polls. Inspired by Tarun Gogoi’s “Raijor Podulit, Raijor Sarkar,” the initiative includes a five-day drive across 100 tea gardens to hear people’s grievances. Gogoi accused the BJP of neglecting tea workers, promoting corruption, and silencing local leaders. He also demanded justice for late singer Zubeen Garg, criticizing the government’s handling of the probe.
