Akhil Gogoi Accuses Assam CM of Politicising Zubeen Garg Death Probe

Raijor Dal president and Sivasagar MLA Akhil Gogoi accused Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma of turning the investigation into singer Zubeen Garg’s death into political drama ahead of elections. Gogoi alleged that the SIT and CID ignored proper judicial procedures involving Singapore, making key reports invalid in Indian courts. He claimed the government is protecting individuals close to the CM, including his wife and Union Minister Pabitra Margherita. Gogoi said the probe lacks credibility, is politically motivated, and demanded an independent, court-monitored investigation.
