Nagaon Administration Launches Eviction Drive to Reclaim Encroached Government Land

The Nagaon district administration, with support from police, carried out a major eviction drive in three villages under the Dhing Revenue Circle to reclaim illegally encroached government land. The operation focused on Roumari Beel, where illegal embankments and fish ponds were dismantled to restore the ecologically sensitive area. Conducted peacefully with heavy police deployment, the four-day drive aims to recover around 230 bighas of land across multiple locations.
