Cachar Police Seize Yaba Tablets Worth ₹3 Crore in Anti-Drug Campaign

Cachar Police arrested a woman and seized 20,000 Yaba tablets worth about ₹3 crore in Assam’s Cachar district, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Tuesday. Praising the action, Sarma said the seizure was part of the state’s sustained anti-narcotics campaign to protect youth from addiction.

The operation follows another recent seizure in which Cachar Police recovered heroin worth nearly ₹2 crore and arrested five peddlers. The Chief Minister said Assam Police has intensified its anti-drug campaign, leading to large-scale seizures and thousands of arrests in recent years.
