Three Arrested with Fake Currency Worth ₹2.27 Lakh in Guwahati

Basistha Police arrested three alleged fake currency smugglers from the Lokhra area based on specific intelligence inputs. The accused were identified as Annas Ali of Barpeta, Sahil Sikdar of Sarthebari, and Islam Ali alias Sahil of Gorchuk.

During a search at a rented house in Lalmati, police recovered Fake Indian Currency Notes worth ₹2.27 lakh, along with cash, a money-counting machine, debit and credit cards, mobile phones, a bank passbook and two vehicles. Further investigation is underway.
