India’s GST Collection Rises to Rs 1.83 Lakh Crore in February

India’s gross GST collection increased to Rs 1.83 lakh crore in February 2026, up 8.1 per cent from the previous month, official data showed. Total GST revenue for FY 2025–26 reached Rs 20.27 lakh crore till February, marking an 8.3 per cent year-on-year growth.

After refunds of Rs 22,595 crore, net GST revenue stood at Rs 1.61 lakh crore. Domestic GST collections grew 5.3 per cent, while revenue from imports rose sharply by 17.2 per cent.

Maharashtra remained the top contributor, followed by Karnataka and Gujarat. Several states reported growth in SGST revenue, though some states saw a decline. Experts said the steady rise reflects economic resilience and sustained demand.
