Assam CM Warns of Strict Action Against LPG Hoarding

Amid concerns of a possible fuel shortage due to tensions in West Asia, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma warned that strict action will be taken against anyone buying LPG cylinders beyond the permitted limit. He said officials have been instructed to monitor unusual purchases to prevent black marketing.

Authorities are already investigating large LPG purchases in Dhing, Nagaon district. The Chief Minister assured that India currently has no shortage of domestic LPG, as the country imports gas from multiple nations and supply remains stable.
