AJP Rejects Exit Poll Predictions in Assam

The Assam Jatiya Parishad on Thursday dismissed exit poll predictions showing a major BJP-led alliance victory in the 2026 Assam Assembly elections.
AJP president Lurinjyoti Gogoi claimed exit polls are often inaccurate and politically influenced, alleging that some media outlets create a false perception in favour of ruling parties.
Party leader Jagadish Bhuyan also said the current political situation in Assam is different from 2021 and claimed there is strong anti-incumbency against the ruling alliance. The party urged people not to treat exit polls as the final result, saying the real verdict will be known on May 4.
