Teacher Shortage Pushes Nalbari Government School Towards Closure

Severe teacher shortage in several government schools of Nalbari has raised concern among local residents and parents. Ulabari Paschim Nakheti Milan ME School, which has nine classes, is currently being run by only a few teachers and lacks a science teacher for years.

Due to inadequate teaching staff, many parents have shifted their children to other schools and private institutions. Student strength in the school has reportedly dropped to just 23.

Locals alleged irregular deployment of teachers across education blocks and demanded the Education Department immediately send teachers back to their original schools and fill vacant posts to save the affected schools.
