‘Barood-2’ Shoot Progresses in Jorhat, Carries Zubeen Garg’s Legacy Forward

The shooting of Barood-2, directed by Manas Baruah, is underway in Jorhat, continuing the legacy of the 2004 film. The project retains the creative influence of Zubeen Garg, though he could not be directly involved.

His wife, Garima Saikia Garg, handling costume design, said Garg was initially set to lead the music. A song from the original film will be reused, preserving his work.

Featuring Jatin Bora and Ravi Sharma, the film introduces new twists while continuing the storyline. It is expected to release in early 2027.
