Police Officer Found Dead in Panikhaiti Quarters

A police officer, identified as Utpal Baruah, allegedly died by suicide after shooting himself with his service revolver at the Panikhaiti Home Guard Training Centre in Guwahati.

The 30-year-old officer was serving as a Platoon Commander (SI) and was reportedly alone in his government quarters during the incident. Police have launched an investigation to determine the reason behind the incident.
